Shadow was travelling with his owner, Barton, from Alaska to Oklahoma. They were at Laird Hot Springs Provincial Park along the Alaska Highway. That is 300 km north west of Fort Nelson. Shadow slipped out and couldn't be found. He survived in the Rockies all this time. Then he was rescued up there in the Northern Rockies.
Now what, how do you get him home? A couple from Fort St John was visiting the area and drove him 690 km to Fort St John. They are now flying with him to Winnipeg. Barton will meet them there and drive the cat back home to Oklahoma. It is a 16 hour journey from Winnipeg to Oklahoma. After many miles travelled, Shadow will be home for Christmas.

When you look at the map you can see just how far Shadow has to travel to get home. That is an epic journey.
It is really amazing how much people were willing to do to get Shadow home. I am sure he will be glad to get home.
His family will be glad to be reunited with him. The cat came back.
