Canada Geese like to nest on roof top patios and balconies and odd places. Once the geese start making a nest, it is illegal to bother them.
Sometimes the nest is up too high for the babies to safely get down. In that case a wildlife rescue group is needed.
The Wildlife Rescue Association of BC was called in when a goose set up a nest in a roof top garden planter. She hatched out 8 goslings.
Then the father joined them. It was too high for the babies to safely jump down. The rescuers scooped up the babies and got them down to the ground. The parents joined them and then they were encouraged to go to a nearby pond.

It ended well for the geese, but the rescuers are still busy. They get multiple calls a day about geese in need of help.
They must be tired, but it must feel good to see a family of geese swim off after a successful rescue.
