Icelandic whale hunt set to resume in June 2026
#1
After 2 years without a whale hunt Iceland plans to go ahead with the hunt. They have a quota of 150 Fin Whales and 168 Minke Whales.
They plan to go ahead with the killing even though they can't sell the meat. Demand for whale meat has dropped. Japan was buying some, but thy are doing their own whaling.

The Icelandic government is reviewing its whaling laws. It will probably end up banning whaling.
People in Iceland want it banned.
Sadly this will not happen in time to save the whales that will be killed this year.
We all know it is a cruel practice, so why don't we stop it now.
