The Winnipeg Humane Society is trying new ways to catch people's attention when it comes to some of its longer term residents.
After a dog has been there for months, they just seem to become un-noticed and overlooked. The shelter is putting up billboards naming dogs that need homes.
They use a good picture and a cute funny description. People will come in to see the dog in the billboard and if they don't take that dog, they will notice another dog needing a home.

Sometimes people just need to know a dog is there. Once they know, they will want to meet the dog and maybe adopt it.
Anything a shelter can do to bring in the public will help with adoptions.
I wish them all luck in finding their forever homes.
