The Winnipeg Humane Society was given space at the HanoverAg Fair.
They set up a display of a Paper Mache pig in a gestation crate. They asked the question: could you spend time in this crate, how about your whole life.
The Ag Fair took offence and asked them to leave.

I think the Humane Society was just trying to get people to think and ask questions.
I suppose the Ag fair reaction was predictable. Factory farming continues because people make a point of not knowing anything about it.
If it is okay to keep a pig in a crate like that, why isn't it okay to show it in public. If it isn't okay to show it in public, then perhaps it is not okay to do it in the first place. Do you really think gestation crates are okay? I don't and neither does the Winnipeg Humane Society.
