This is good news for the Right Whales. There are more of them. It is not a big increase, but any increase helps.
There have been less entanglements and less ship strikes. There have been a number of births as well.

I know it is just a small increase, but maybe it is a sign that we are doing better with the whales.
Our ships and fishing gear have harmed a lot of whales. If we are doing better in that area then all the new calves have a chance of surviving. The young whales have a chance of living to reproduce. Whatever is happening, let's hope it continues.
