Parts of North America have been experiencing extreme heat this past few months. In the Virginia area, while people were being warned to stay indoors, PETA staff were out there delivering dog houses and filling water dishes to help dogs survive the heat outside. They took their mobile stay/neuter clinic to where it was needed. They took in rescue pets and helped place them in homes. As always, they have been busy, no matter what the conditions, as long as there was need.

People who work for rescue groups are amazing. While most people were sitting by their air conditioners complaining about the heat, they were out there on that heat helping animals in need. Because of their dedication animals were rescued, animals were provided the comfort of a shelter and life saving water.
I don't need to see the latest movie to see super heroes. I just have to look at people who rescue animals. They are the real super heroes.
