A woman with a service dog was in a department store when her dog alerted her about a medical episode. She sat on the floor and took her medication. She just had to wait until she was okay. A fellow shopper started harassing her and questioning her need for a dog.

You would think by now people would understand about service dogs. There are a number of trained medic alert dogs that warn people of possible medical episodes. If your dog tells you to sit, you sit. A person can look perfectly healthy, but have epilepsy or uncontrolled diabetes. A dog can prevent injuries or even death. What kind of person harasses someone with a dog? Why wouldn't they ask if help is needed?
Maybe there needs to be a penalty for bothering service dogs and people with service dogs. Some people don't seem to be able to act decently without rules against bad behavior.
