There is a Beaver baby boom in the UK this year.
Beavers have been extinct in the UK for 400 years. Twenty years ago they were reintroduced.
Now there are about 1500 beavers.

The return of beavers is a big step in restoring habitat and rewilding the land. Beavers are being released in controlled settings, but in time they will be released freely. Once the beavers are established and the and restored, other species will follow.
