Up to 16 wildlife crossing are going to be installed on highway 3 from Alberta to BC. They will be underpasses and over passes depending on where they are.
They will go right through the Rocky Mountains. They will be similar to the wildlife crossing in Banff Alberta on Highway one. That crossing dropped wildlife collisions by 80%. It is hoped that these new crossings will have a similar effect.

It is an ambitious project and it could take 5-10 years to complete. It will be totally worth it when you think of the lives, human and animal that will be saved.
We need to look everywhere that has a problem with animals and vehicles on the road and find ways to build crossings.
We put our highways through their land. Now we need to fix it so everyone is safe.
