After years of declining births, the Right Whales are having a baby boom.
There are 23 new calves! One mother was just 20 years old. Two of the mothers are 40 years old.

This is fantastic news. The species has been declining so badly. A good year like this could make a big difference.
If even a few female calves survive, there is hope for future generations.
It looks like all our efforts to protect the Right Whales are actually working.
