Red wolves have a new litter of pups
#1
Red wolves are very endangered and much work is being done to help the species survive.  The new litter is a special success story. The father, Finch, was raised at Wolf Haven International. After 7 years he was released to join a wild wolf pack. He was gradually introduced to the wild pack. The female chose him and now they have 8 pups.

This is definitely a success story for the raising and releasing of a wild wolf. That fact that he has fathered a litter of pups means he hasn't just survived in the wild, he has entered the gene pool. He will survive for generations to come and he has increased the chances of his species surviving. I have to say well done to the people who raised him and work to save the red wolf species. This is another successful conservation story.
