Along the Trans Canada Highway in the Alberta Rockies they are building a series of wildlife over passes and underpasses. There are frequent and regular collisions between cars and animals. It often ends badly for both parties. These wildlife corridors will save lives. The animals were using them before they were even finished.

Given a safe way to cross the road animals are happy to take it. They must be aware of the danger they are in.
Since we have chosen to build our highways in bad places, we owe the animals a safe way to cross.
I hope they keep on building and I hope the idea spreads to other places.
