Goats in the City is a company based on a farm outside of Toronto.
They provide goats to cities. The purpose of the goats is to eat vegetation, in particular they eat invasive plant species.
The goats are brought to an area and allowed to graze. The goats have a happy time eating and they remove a lot of vegetation that needs to be removed.

The idea is simple and brilliant. It uses nature to take care of a problem. Straight forward, no complications, the goats just eat.
This is what goats do. They don't harm the ecosystem in the process. They actually help it. Nothing they do is toxic. They clear out vegetation that needs to be removed. The city as already employed them last year in the river valley. They did a good job.
This morning I watched someone from a lawn service unload a lawn mower, a weed wacker and a leaf blower to cut the grass on a 4 ft by 4 ft front lawn. One goat would have delt with that in minutes and done no harm to the environment. One goat would have done the whole street.
We need to think of natural solutions like Goats in the City. They are sustainable and beneficial. I would rather watch a goat than a lawn mower.
