The US Navy was funding and supporting animal testing projects. In particular one project was really just brutal animal abuse. White Coat Waste uncovered this project and put pressure on the US Navy.
In response the Navy has banned further testing on cats and dogs.

This is a big victory. The American Navy has been responsible for a lot of animal experiments.
For them to completely ban experiments on cats and dogs is really a big step in the right direction.
Who knows what else can be banned.
