The High Seas Treaty is a go

The High Seas Treaty was proposed in 2023 to protect at least 1/3 of the world's  oceans. For it to come into effect at least 60 countries had to sign. 
Morocco just became the 60th country to sign the treaty.

This is a major step in environmental protection. International waters can be designated as Marine Protection areas.
The oceans have been over fished and heavily polluted. This gives us a chance to reverse the damage.
The oceans produce 80% of the air we breath. We need to do this if we are to survive.
