A company has created robot pets for veterans to help them deal with loneliness. They are for veterans who would not be able to care for a real pet.

I looked at the pictures of the robot pets and the people with them. I think the intention is good. However, the animals are very fake looking and a bit silly looking.
They could be a lot more real looking and a lot cuter. Maybe this is the best that some people can have. I don't know. Is it respectful to give a stuffed toy to a retired soldier? There must be a better solution.
