Root, the Wood Turtle lives at the Museum of Natural History in Halifax. He has a nice enclosure, but he also comes out and explores the museum.
Sadly, Root is missing his right front foot. When he crawls around, his bottom shell scrapes on the floor. It is at risk of being damaged.
The museum had a Lego exhibit and parts were used to give Root wheels so he could get around without shell damage. A dog harness was used so his wheels could be put on and taken off easily.
It works and root is very happy with his wheels.

Root is too cute, and his wheels make him even cuter. It is a great idea, to use Lego to give him wheels. Without his front foot his shell drags on the floor.
The Lego fixes that. It is nice to know that even a little turtle can get help to live a better life.
