Bats don't get cancer and have relatively long lives
#1
Studies show that bats do not get cancer and they have longer lives than expected for such small species. Scientists want to know why.
Definitely the answer is genetic. They have extra copies of genes that naturally fight cancer. Also their chromosomes fight aging.

There is a lot more study needs to be done. Who knows what we can do with this information. Fighting cancer at the genetic level could bring a whole lot better results. Certainly fighting aging at the genetic level has potential. Who knew that bats had so much to give us.
