Dog Blood Donors needed.

Dog blood donations save lives. Some places have dog blood donor clinics. Dogs over 55 pounds, between one and eight years old are eligible.
There are more than 12 dog blood groups, but there is one that works as a universal donor.  It takes very little time and it saves other dogs lives.

This is such a life saving thing. I remember when dogs died because there was no way to help when a dog needed blood.
Now they know how to test for blood groups. They can have donor clinics and blood drives just like they do with people.
The dogs don't seem to mind. I wonder if they know they are helping. Dogs like to help. If you have a dog that would be a good donor it might be worth checking out the blood donation situation in your area. It would feel good to know  you and your dog can save lives.
