Spanish Wildfires

Spain like many other parts of the work is having a wildfire crisis.
Animals are in serious trouble, but the Spanish Civil Guard are doing their best to help.

Another unlikely group is helping as well. Rescue donkeys are being used to create fire breaks by eating dry vegetation.
If the vegetation is gone, it is not there to catch fire.

Fires seem to be a global issue. There are so many places burning.
We know climate change is a cause. Another issue is the loss of species in an area that helped control fires by eating dry vegetation.
We need to restore the species that kept things in balance. It will be different in different countries and it might be more than one species, but we really need to do this. This is a global emergency. Just days ago the smoke from fires far north of me was so bad, it was almost dark at noon.
