That was my thought. They could have saved the coyote. They never even tried.

I read about the incident with the autistic boy. The one who got shot was the care giver. They should have been trying to "rescue" the man. They can't seem to see past the solution of shooting everything. 
The police certainly don't have a relationship with the communities they "serve". Actually they have lost sight of their job as a public service profession.

Maybe they should train them to know why to shoot and why not.  I would feel safer and so would our wildlife.
