This is a touchy issue. Increasingly animal rights activists are pushing for changes in slaughter methods. Religions that require special slaughter methods are now at odds with modern ideas about animals. Animals feel fear and pain.
Should any religion promote and adhere to that.

I keep hoping we will wake up and see that the 21st century needs 21st century thinking. Many customs and traditions date back to different times. Without being prejudiced or discriminating we should be able to move towards newer and better ways of doing things. We are intelligent and caring people. We must be able to do better. Or we should give up meat all together.
