The cat who risked her life to try and save her kittens from a barn fire is one of the most heroic. That and the dog who tried to rescue ducks from an alligator attack. Some of the stories are remarkable because pets were found a long way from home, but they were found. I am sure there are amazing rescue stories happening all around us all the time. It is nice to know that these stories had happy endings. In the end the pet found a forever home.
