Virginia Wildlife Killing Contest

This is disgusting, outrageous and a total violation of what it means to be a decent human being.
We make so much progress towards being better as a species and then something like this sets us back by centuries to a more primitive, brutal time.
When it comes to human behavior, I do not want to hear about the good old days.
Your words say it all. This is sickening, so sickening that it makes my stomach churn. Humans are not a "superior species", as some people claim. They are sometimes much more cruel than other species and in some cases morally inferior. Sheep in a field eating grass do not kill other species on a mass scale for prizes or for pleasure.

Have we really "evolved" at all? Stone Age man hunted for food, but did not, as far as we know, engage in killing on a mass scale just to win prizes or enjoy the pleasure of counting dead animals. So much for "progress". The people in Virginia who have engaged in such killing competitions are a disgrace to humanity.
