It is much worse than they thought. The pictures show a very damaged creek. Many animals are dead and many more will die.

When chemicals are stored near a river it is an accident waiting to happen. Even if they clean up the area, the toxic chemicals are now in the food chain.
Animal deaths will continue for a long time. Eventually the chemicals will reach the lake and from there they can spread. Who knows how far the destruction will spread.
The thing is, they don't know how far the destruction will spread. Plans should have been made to contain this before anything happened. Plans made now are too little too late.
