Wildlife killing contests should be illegal, but they are not

As far as I know, these horrible "competitions" are only held in the USA and Canada. I have not heard of any in Europe, Asia or Australasia - but I cannot say for sure.

There is a little progress, apparently, as some states have started banning the competitions on a local level. See:
