10 animals found outside the Winnipeg Humane Society one morning

On Saturday morning, the Winnipeg Humane Society found ten animal outside its building. The owners had abandoned them during the night. There was a dog, a cat and two kittens and 6 rats in a box. The people were trying to do their best for their animals, but abandoning them like that is risky. Anything could go wrong. Wild animals could have gotten at them. The nights are not that warm yet. It could have ended very badly.

People are desperate, but they should have talked to the shelter and brought them in and surrendered them directly. 
Maybe there was a way to help them. Anything would be better than leaving them outside like that.
