A team from the Great Whale Conservancy was out in the Sea of Cortez when they came across what seemed to be a young dead whale.
They watched it for a while and then the whale moved. It was exhausted from being seriously tangled in nets and fishing gear.
Help couldn't come for some time so they worked to free the whale themselves. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it.

The whale is just so overjoyed to be free. It was clearly in danger of dying from being unable to swim or feed.
Then help came. I think the whale very much knew they were helping and cooperated as well as possible.
What a wonderful thing to have saved a whale like that. It is a memory you would cherish forever. And because they filmed it, we cane enjoy the moment tool.
