I came across an interesting article about animal intuition. They do seem to have abilities to sense things that we don't sense.

Animals do seem to sense death. We know they can recognize that a seizure is about to happen or a dangerous blood sugar issue.
There are a lot more things they sense than that. We all know stories.
Our dog used to get up and go to the door just before my father got home from a late shift at the railroad. It wasn't always the same time every night. There was a lot of variation in what time he got home. But the timing was always the same. The dog would get up and go to the door and then in a short time my father would arrive. The dog seemed to know when my father turned off the highway and drove the last half mile home. Maybe he could hear the car, but that was half a mile.
I think he used to do it before we got a car. The dog just knew.
I bet anyone who has pets knows stories like that.
