A man in Northern Ontario took his dog into the woods and hung it from tree. A neighbor heard a scream and called the police. They found the dog and later traced it to the man who claimed the dog had biting issues. He wanted the dog euthanized, but couldn't afford it.
What he did was cruel and he has been sentenced to a 6 month conditional sentence and 2 years probation. He also has a lifetime ban on owning animals.

Who knows if Dax could have been helped. He was not really given a chance.
Instead his life was ended cruelly, hanging on a tree.
Hopefully sentencing the man who killed Dax will send a message.
If you can't manage a dog it is okay to give it up, but taking the dog out and killing it is not.
