As it approaches year end, there are always articles about the past year. This is a funny and yet not funny article about the animals in the news this year that took our minds off of other things.

I admit the animals in my life have made a real difference. My guinea pigs brightened every day.
The animals like Charles the Gorilla at Toronto Zoo, even in his passing reminded me of how many wonderful encounters I had with him.
Maybe we should all spend a little time thinking of the animals that touched our 2024.
