New Zealand has chosen a Fish of the Year. No, not one of the possible pretty fish that are out there.
They chose the Blobfish. The Blobfish was once named the World's Ugliest Animal. Now it is New Zealand's Fish of the Year.

The Blobfish is still ugly and it lives up to its name. It looks like a blob. It still deserves recognition.
Good for New Zealand for looking past looks and seeing the true fish who deserves our respect and recognition.
