You are right. Whenever we release something into the ecosystem, it has far reaching consequences.
Poisons and pest control are one of the worst things we do. We may have created poisonous pigs, but that is probably not the only thing we have done.
There are probably plants that have taken upĀ  toxins and deposited them in the fruit they produce. Poison is a method of pest control that we can't control.

There has to be a safer method of pest control.
