Surgery saves Chester Zoo Monkey's foot
#1
Masaya, a fifteen year old monkey, at the Chester zoo has been having trouble with her foot. She has mass on her foot the size of a golf ball.
It was decided to remove it surgically/ It was a success and they saved al, but one of her toes.
A few months later, Masaya gave birth and is well enough to care for her baby, Lagertha, who is doing very well.

It was brave to attempt the surgery, but it certainly paid off.
It is beautiful to see mother and baby doing so well together.
