Venezuela was hit with two major earthquakes in June. They have been frantically searching and rescuing people.
They have also been rescuing pets One shelter has taken in over 500 pets.

No amount of preparation could prepare people for a disaster of this size. Animal shelters are doing the best they can.
The shelter in La Guaira has taken in 530 pets right now. Somehow they will feed them and care for them. The human death toll is so high, it may not be possible to reunite them with their people. They will do the best they can and save as many as they can.
When you think about this and what people are going through it puts life in perspective. Maybe having to wait for a bus today wasn't such hardship. It is barely an inconvenience.
