I would so love to meet wild wolves (Not in an intrusive way but at a distance that they were comfortable with of course) And to hear them howl!
I have a friend (a friend's daughter actually) and she told me about her meeting with a wild wolf once. She was in a forest in Germany and was sitting sketching, when she glimpsed movement behind her. A short distance away there was a wolf, looking at her. She didn't say anything to it or make any noise, but watched it for a moment. It cocked its head -just like a dog might, and looked back at her, then ran away. She got the sense it was just curious.
