Protect your pet from rabies

I wondered about Australia and rabies. You must have a good quarantine system.
Rabies has been around for a  long time and we seem to have transported it around the world as we have traveled.

I know it can be treated in humans if we act quickly. There is no treatment for our pets if they become infected. The only way to deal with rabies is to vaccinate. It is a terrible way for a pet to die and it is preventable. I hope everyone takes advantage of the vaccination program being offered in Southern Ontario. We can stop the spread of this virus and save animal lives. It is not often we have that kind of power.

People take such terrible risks with wild animals. If a wild animal will let you catch it then something is wrong with it. You don't want to risk rabies.
