How do animals keep cool

We are coming into the hot weather in some parts of the world. It is a good time to think about keeping cool.
Animals have come up with some very good ways to keep cool. Some of them would work for us.

I never knew why birds pooped on their own legs. I would have never guessed that it helps cool them.

Hiding from the heat and sleeping sound like good choices. So does swimming.

Of course the real favourite is always the cool treat. Humans and animals alike enjoy a cool treat.
