Eclipse 2017, how did animals react?
#1
People were observing animals everywhere to see how they reacted to the eclipse.
Nashville Zoo was one such place. Giraffe ran in circles, orangutans climbed as high as possible and Rhinos went to bed.

Some animals are expected to react.

I will be interested to hear what other people observed. I was in an area that had a 70% eclipse. It got noticeably darker. but not actually dark. I was outside working on the shelter garden with my back to the sun. I spent part of the time watering the garden.
Other than avoiding the direct water from the hose  the animals carried on as usual. The birds were more interested in me than anything in the sky. The bees didn't leave the garden, at least not that I could see.
I didn't see any squirrels, but that is not unusual during the hottest part of the day.
It didn't get totally dark here so that might make a difference.
