100 Reindeer killed by trains in Norway

Of the 100 Reindeer killed by trains in Norway, 65 were killed by the same train in one day. It was a bloodbath all along the tracks. Many of these animals were left suffering in the snow, lingering on dying slowly in pain. 
This has been going on for years so many more than 100 reindeer have lost their lives. This time of the year they need to move to winter pastures.  It is a very vulnerable time for them. Many are killed.

This is an unacceptable situation. It isn't just reindeer that are being killed although they have suffered the most. When this many animals die then the trains are not be run safely. If fences and animal crossing over passes are needed then they must be built. 
Governments can find money for and wasteful project they want to fund. They can certainly find money for this.

I hope the shock and outrage over such massive loss of life will be enough to make the government and the railroad do something.
