Ritual Slaughter vs. Animal Rights

This new look at how we treat animals should be a global issue. Religion, culture and custom should not take precedence  over compassion towards animals. No religion should condone or promote cruelty. No custom should live on if it is inherently cruel in nature. A tradition that violates decency towards animals is not a tradition worth keeping. 

We need to be mature and caring in the way we treat animals. Anything that doesn't measure up to that standard is questionable.
