This is the latest update. It is not yet clear if the whale will survive or not. They are still trying to help her. They think they understand better what is wrong with her.

This is an amazing response to a whale in trouble. We are all hoping for J50s survival, but whatever the outcome much has been learned about Orcas. I hope the pod understands that humans are trying to help. They have tried different things and they have even managed to deliver medication. If they finally have to capture J50 to treat her it will be the first time we have captured an Orca to help it then return it to its family. All I can say is "get well soon J50", we are all hoping for you to recover.
