Todd the Dog saved his owner from a rattlesnake

Paula Godwin was out for a walk with Todd her young golden retriever when they encountered a rattlesnake. Todd jumped in front of her and protected her from the snake. He was bitten in the face and had to be rushed to the vet. Todd is going to make it even though he is not fully healed.

Todd is being honoured as a brave pup.

He was brought out an honoured at a Diamond Backs Baseball game.

Milk-Bone has now declared Todd their first ever dog of the year.

It was a brave thing that Todd did. His first instinct would have been to back away from the snake, but his beloved  Paula was in danger and he didn't hesitate.  I hope he makes and full recovery and he deserves every honour he gets.
