I agree that an individual would not have been able to do much, but the article mentions Canadian fisheries officials visiting the site more than once. Their policy is to not interfere. Why not! We certainly interfere enough to do harm.

I think something should have been done or at least attempted. Could they have used an icebreaker to open a passage for them. Had they planned to "harvest" the dolphins they would have found a way to "interfere". So why couldn't they interfere to save them. They watched moms and babies die and did nothing. It just seems cold and unfeeling.Smiley19
