Owner tries to euthanize over weight dog.

Kai, the golden retriever was so over weight that his owners brought him to the vet to be euthanized. 
Instead, the vet contacted people who could help Kai. He was so bad he had trouble climbing three steps into his foster mom's home.
She worked with him daily and over time there was improvement. He lost half his weight and is a healthy happy dog.

I can't imagine how they let Kai get so heavy. Having done that how could they just choose to have him killed.  
Good for the vet that he saw hope in an over weight dog. The foster mom is an amazing person. She worked a miracle with her loving persistence.   
No dog is beyond hope.
