Red Paw Emergency Relief

This article made me cry. There is an actual rescue out there that shows up to take care of the animals in a fire or some other disaster.
They are the "Red Cross" for animals. I understand that it is only in one location, but what if the movement spreads? Even if the idea spread, it would be enough.

During Hurricane Katrina people were forced to leave their pets.
Somehow I don't think that will ever happen again. Thinking has changed. Pets are part of our families and losing everything is hard, but having a pet returned safely at least leaves the family intact.

Seeing people reunited with their pets is wonderful. I know how I would feel. I don't even like to go on holiday and leave my pets.
