Bondi Vet
#7
Yes soups might be very good food for you if you are getting over something. I always crave soups/stews when I am not so well.

I so wanted to be a vet when I was 7. This continued until I was 13 when I suddenly veered off and took another pathway through life.
I have always been interested in medicine though, know I could do it....and checked out veterinary courses recently. It won't work -I think as I am 61 this year, and I would be about 66 before I even qualified (if....!) Plus I only have maths at GCSE, so would need biology I think!!
Considering a vet's training should be all-round education, and specialising in small animal practice would probably come later, I honestly don't think I can imagine myself doing caesarians on cows at 4am when I'm in my late 60s..... Plus it would mean a long commute each day to my nearest vet school....plus the cost...

I watched a few videos of youngsters being interviewed for vet school. They have the energy, but they are so scared and wet behind the ears!
I'm not scared or wet behind the ears but I am getting old! We can't win can we?
