A little domestic duckling was dumped at a small small lake at 8 days old. Local children were throwing rocks at the little bird and tormenting it . The little duckling had no chance of survival on its own. Fortunately Pacific Waterfowl Rescue stepped in a took the duckling home. Now named Mumble, the little bird is thriving and has a future with the other rescue birds at the rescue.

I don't know what is worse, the fact that an 8 day old duckling would be dumped or that local children would torment it. It is fortunate that there are places like Pacific Waterfowl Rescue. Without them, Mumble would not have a chance. Now she is loved and protected and has a happy future ahead of her.
