Beware of puppy scams

I guess this is the problem. People don't want to wait.  They see  a really cute puppy picture and all reason is lost. They want that puppy right now.
That is how scammers can fool so many people.  They also catch people by telling them that  the puppies are selling fast. People hate missing out.

Going on a waiting list at a rescue or even with a reputable breeder is a sensible thing. As you say, isn't a soul mate worth waiting for.
People will spend more time deciding what kind of muffin to have at a coffee shop than they will spend time thinking about a pet that will be with them for years.
Until people learn to think the puppy scams will keep on working.
